Thank you for stopping by to see what is happening on Gray Street this month.
We have some very exciting news. On February first Pierce County Sheriff's Department posted a story about K9 Dan on their Facebook page.
So far we have raised over $400.00 for equipment for the K9 division. Thank you for being part of The Gray Street Publishing Community!
Here is their post.
Did you know that Valentine's Day is only 2 weeks away?!?!?! If you are looking for the perfect gift for your sweetie, your kids, your puppies, or even yourself, then you should definitely get a copy of "K9 Dan"!
This amazing book that was created by author Madison Meadows and illustrator Nadya Sky, and it tells the story of one of our department's very special K9s.
As many of you know, K9 Dan was named after PCSD Deputy Dan McCartney who was killed in the line of duty in 2018 while courageously responding to a home invasion robbery. Deputy McCartney’s three young sons chose his name, and this book tells the story of the K9 Dan's journey to join our department and gives a glimpse of his daily life as a police dog.
The paperback book is available for purchase from Amazon and 80% of the proceeds go directly to our K9 unit. These funds provide training, equipment, supplies and medical care for our beloved K9s and their handlers. It can also be downloaded to your Kindle for FREE!
A huge thank you to Madison, Nadya, and all of our K9 fans for your awesome support. We love the book, our kids love the book, and even our dogs love the book - so don't wait to get a copy for that special someone that you love!
